Statue of Patriarch Grigorios V

Ανδριάντας του Πατριάρχη Γρηγορίου Ε΄

A bronze statue of 1987 in Nea Michaniona, Thessaloniki. The patriarch is shown with his hands joined in prayer, the stance carried into the expression of his face, the body simply outlined beneath the robe, without flamboyance, honouring one of the most tragic figures of Greek history.
