Monument to a Priest and a Teacher of Pontos
Μνημείο του Παπά και του Δασκάλου του Πόντου
A marble group three metres high in the park on the Ermou axis at Agia Sophia Square, Thessaloniki (1978), donated by the Euxinos Club in 1979 to honour the defenders of Hellenism in Pontos. The central figures of the priest and the teacher are escorted by a lyre player, an akritas frontier guard and two children; the figures rise from bas-relief into full volume, and the base is shaped as an integral part of the work. Photograph from the monograph in the estate archive.
