Memorial to the People of Pontos
Ηρώον Ποντίων
A bronze memorial in Davaki Square, Kallithea, Athens, awarded first prize in a national competition (1976). In a long relief frieze, Kalevras narrates, simply and quietly, the history of the people of Pontos, from the expedition of the Argonauts to their flight as refugees, closed by the ship of the uprooting. Photograph from the monograph in the estate archive.
