Across Greece, Efthymios Kalevras created monuments, memorials, statues and busts that preserve historical memory and become part of the everyday life of cities.

MEMORY IN PUBLIC SPACE

From 1968 onwards, Kalevras was commissioned to create monuments and memorials for towns and institutions across Greece. The works carry the same sculptural vocabulary as his independent practice into a civic scale, where they are seen daily rather than visited.
