A foot-like base supports an abstract body that opens upward into two sharply opposed planes. The lower curve carries the memory of walking, while the upper structure resembles a wing, a stair, or a fragment of architecture. Solid weight and sudden lift meet at the narrow center. The sculpture interprets a single step as an act of departure from stability toward possibility.
