Pierced Sail

Διάτρητο Ιστίο

A taut, leaf-shaped plane rises from a compact pedestal and twists toward a pointed summit. A circular opening near the upper edge punctures the surface like an eye or a window to the sky. Uneven lateral contours suggest fabric caught between opposing currents of air. The sculpture gives stillness the tension of a sail holding wind within its stretched form.
