Two ascending planes separate around a deep central cleft, giving the weathered marble the silhouette of a form breaking into the open. The outer edges retain the stone’s irregular history, while the inner slopes guide the eye upward. Stains, chips, and natural variations become active parts of the sculpture, recording time on its surface. The divided summit holds tension between fracture and growth. Emergence is presented as a slow act of becoming, in which new form rises without erasing the material from which it came.
