MARBLE SCULPTURES

This section follows the estate's historical cataloguing group for stone and marble sculpture. Until each material is verified individually, the records use the broader designation Stone and preserve the documented inventory numbers and dimensions.

FORM, VOLUME AND MATERIAL

Trained under Thanasis Apartis at the Athens School of Fine Arts, Kalevras built his work through direct engagement with matter. Stone and marble emphasise weight, incision and the resistance of the block; plaster preserves the immediacy of modelling; bronze carries those gestures into lasting form.

Across these materials, the human body is simplified into masses, curves and voids. The female figure, the circle and relationships between two or more figures recur throughout his work, creating a vocabulary of balance, movement and shared presence.
