Several female presences are compressed into a single, rugged volume, their bodies suggested through arcs, ridges, and rounded cavities. The carving follows the stone’s compact mass while opening internal paths that make the surface circulate. Repeated curves bind the figures together, yet each direction of movement retains its own force. The coarse skin preserves the resistance of the material and gives the group an archaic intensity. The work evokes the Amazons as a collective image of vigilance, endurance, and shared strength.
